SGN Games is a development studio founded by long term veterans of the game industry. Our mission is to make entertainment software that provides a compelling experience to everyone, both hard-core and casual gamers alike. We know games are hit driven and only the top games find a large audience. From our experience working on the number one selling PC game of all time (The Sims, Electronic Arts), we have an understanding of what appeals to the mass market.
Our philosophy to focus on the player's experience has driven the establishment of our development processes. Design iterates with play testing to maintain a consistent experience on all devices while adjusting to the varying platform constraints.
This focus is efficiently supported with technologies, such as the SGN GameSystem and SGN NetPlay. SGN NetPlay is our multiplayer component for supported platforms. The SGN GameSystem is a complete, fully tested framework and library that handles game-independent and device specific tasks. This allows us to concentrate exclusively on game play code. One set of game play code can run on a large number of devices.
Our experience not only includes design and engineering, but also project management and company leadership. We believe this breadth of experience will sustain our ability to succeed in our goals.
Star Gaming Network is currently working on our first Massive Multiplayer Online Game, Legends of Lore Online Adventures ( "Legends" ). Legends utilizes our expertise in simulation by offering an online game where the Non-Playable Characters ( "NPCs" ) seem more alive than the typical online game. In Legends the NPCs have lives so they go to work, eat, shop, etc. They don't just stand around waiting for the player to interact with them. Legends also offers game play innovations such as randomized dungeons, relationships with NPCs, and a powerful guild system.
Under the SGN Games brand, Star Gaming Network has produced games for the mobile phones. These Java enabled games are available via the GoSGN.com and
SGN Mobile Web Sites. There are currently over 10 games available for hundreds of phones on many carriers. Included is the first episode of Legends of Lore in full 3D. All of our Mobile Games are available in FREE ad-supported versions featuring
Smaato Technology.
